Weight Watchers vs Noom: Week 2 Day 2
Here we go again. Oh the scale, what a mysterious thing you are. Somehow between yesterday and today I lost 2.2 lbs. It cracks me up. Obviously it was water weight, but it is interesting nonetheless.

This morning I woke up 5 lbs heavier than I was 2 weeks ago. Whoops. I know most of it was water weight with a touch of stress eating (and I didn’t log several days as you might have noticed), but the time has come for me to lock up my inner fun guy, and get to work.
Today started off well, and calorie wise it ended well, but an unplanned trip to my mom’s ruined my WW points. It happens, it’s life, what can you do besides go forward? Plus, I’m running 10 miles tomorrow, so getting out of the WW hole is easy.
Everyday seems to start off well enough, two eggs and toast. Then by the time lunch comes around, if I haven’t had time to snack, I find myself hungry and making poor decisions. This is what I have learned, the hungrier I am, the worse food I eat. Hunger is a trigger to bad food choices, and must be avoided at all times. If I can stay ahead of my hunger, I do much better.
Yesterday I woke up with the resolve to eat better. My plan was to base my day off of WW, and then log it into Noom. Well, I started out down the right path. Breakfast was an easy choice. At lunch I realized I had the things I needed to make a 2 point pasta dish. I chose this over a turkey sandwich, even though the calories were the same, because of WW.

So why do I always end up back with WW? It’s because the reward for eating healthy (no tracking) is so good, that I eat way healthier on WW. Then I lose weight because I hate tracking, but need tracking to lose weight. When I follow the program and play their little game, I lose weight. Always. Every single time.
Noom offers a 2 week trial for as little as 1 dollar. As much as I hate logging everything I eat(which is why I chose the myWW purple plan), I really needed to know how these two programs stacked up next to each other. That’s why for the next two weeks I will simultaneously be logging with Noom and WW to compare and contrast the two programs.
In my opinion, the easiest plan to follow will be the purple plan because there will be less tracking with 300+ zero-point foods to choose from. As soon as I discovered the purple plan had so many foods with zero points, I wondered, “What’s the catch? How can one offer 300+ free foods and the others not?”
The soup was vegan. I don’t know how to say it any other way. Maybe in a month or two it’ll be a creamy treat, but I just sat there mumbling to my friend the entire bowl. Things like “You know what would make this soup extra creamy? cream.” “Cheese would be good.” “Bacon. Need I say more?”
